Leo James Stacy

January 31, 1943 – October 30, 2017 Leo James Stacy, of 74, passed away peacefully at home with his children by his side on October 30, 2017.  He was born to Clarence and Jessie Stacy on January 31, 1943 in Casper, California.

Leo is survived by brother Donald G. Stacy, sister Barbara A. Gibson; five children Leona Radovich, Leonard Swanson, Edward Swanson, Steven Stacy, and Brenda Stacy; 13 grandchildren Kenny Burton, Michael Curry, Jesse Swanson, Nicole Swanson, Edward J. Swanson Jr., Jori Swanson, Jonna Swanson, Hayley Swanson, Taylor Swanson, Jamie Stacy, Juliana Stacy, Thomas Goldsberry, and Kayla Goldsberry; and 17 great grandchildren Brandon Curry, Madison Curry, James Curry, Alicia Sage, Selena Sage, Carly Greenroyd, Alexxis Cummings, Carly Cummings, Krystie Shaw, Kason Shaw, Wyatt Goldsberry, Kaci Goldsberry, Silas Swanson, Haydon Swanson, Autumn Fuller, Summer Fuller, and Flinn Utt; also survived by his close friends Leroy Greenlee, Teddy Bork, and Jeremy and Anita Coit.

He is preceded in death by wife of 45 years Arlene Stacy; parents Clarence and Jessie Stacy; siblings Artie M. Swingle, Eldna R. McDonell, Clarence L. Stacy, Bob H. Stacy; grandchild Anna Swanson (infant).

Leo married Arlene V. McBurney on December 5, 1964 in Daly City.  They proceeded to build a family in Stockton, California, with 5 children.  Over the years he worked for Libby Owens – Parsons Corporation, was a truck driver for Floyd Chamberlin, then onto plastering trade of a hod carrier, which led him to start his company Stacy Plastering Inc. in 1982, in which he retired from in 2008 and his son Steven Stacy is continuing the legacy of the family business. Leo will be dearly missed by everyone.

Visitation will be held 10am to 8pm on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Vineyard Chapel of the Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd in Lodi.

SERVICES

Funeral services will be held 10am on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 also at the Vineyard Chapel.

Jerry Eugene Winchester

July 18, 1940 – October 30, 2017

Jerry Eugene Winchester of Auburn, CA passed away on October 30, 2017 after a short illness. Jerry was born in Lodi, CA on July 18, 1940 to James and Lena Winchester. He attended grade school and graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1957.

Jerry was a painter for J.L. Winchester and Sons Painting for many years before starting his own paint- ing business around 1971. When he retired, he moved with his wife, Paula, to Auburn where he loved to tend his garden and share his produce with neighbors.

Jerry was a member of the Church of Christ for many years. He was a member of the Woodbridge Country Club and loved to golf and play poker with his friends.

In 1988, he lost his beloved daughter, Cindy Tate, to cancer. For many years he held a fundraiser in Iselton in her memory to raise money for children who needed bikes and other toys for Christmas. These fund- raisers were a big part of his life and he enjoyed every minute dressed as Santa handing out the presents to the kids.

Jerry is survived by his wife Paula, four grandchildren; Brandon and Anthony Tate and Zachery and Nicholas Winchester. He had 7 great grandchildren; Maverick and Colton Tate, Andrew and Allison Tate, Chloe and Amara Winchester, and Landin Winchester. He is survived by son Steven Winchester, his step grandchildren; Jodie Day of Virginia, Jennifer Mispley of North Carolina, and Jeffrey Day of Virginia. Step grandchildren; Matthew and Tyler Mispley, Jefferson and Lincoln Day, and Katie Day. He is also survived by; his brother Jimmy Winchester of Stockton, sisters Sandra Winchester Elliot and Glenda Winchester King. He is preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Winchester Tate, his parents, his brother Larry Winchester, and sisters Bonnie Winchester and Brenda Winchester Owen.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 2nd, 2017, 4pm to 8pm. at the Vineyard Chapel, 14165 Beckman Rd., Lodi.

SERVICES

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 3rd, 2017, at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi, CA 95240, at 11am.

Donations may be made in Jerry’s name to the Hospice of Placer County or Melanoma Research Foundation.

John Bateman

Harold "Lamar" Parrish

Harold "Lamar" Parrish left a legacy when he passed peace- fully on October 29, 2017 in the presence of his wife and children. Lamar was born in Llano, TX. to Theodore and Pauline Parrish on August 17, 1926. In 1930 the family moved to Stockton where Lamar attended Weber Elementary school and Stockton High School.

He enjoyed many class reunions with these classmates. He graduated from Stockton High in 1944 at the height of WW2 and joined the U.S. Navy. In the Navy he served as a Pharmacist's First Mate from 1944-46, one of the "Greatest Generation". He was able to express his love of music while singing in the Navy choir. After his service in the Navy he enrolled at the College of the Pacific. While at COP he met his sweet- heart, a young nurse-in-training, Ewela Mae Shelton at Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center in 1949. Mount Hermon was to be foundational in their family history. Lamar and Lu married in 1950. Lamar became a licensed Clinical Medical Technologist in 1950. He worked for the State of California while also working as an entrepreneur to establish Parrish Medical Laboratory. He and Lu worked hand-in-hand to build the business. At this time he became a father to Susan and Kevin AND played enough GREAT basketball to be inducted into the Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995 as a member of the YMCA teams of 1954-1957. Lamar was a charter member of the Society for the Preservation and Encour- agement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBQSA) in Stockton. He belonged to the group longer than any other member at the time of his pas- sing. Lamar sang with the Stockton Chorale for many years and served as it's presi- dent from 1985-87. Lamar served as Sunday School tea- cher and Church Chairman at Stockton Covenant Church for many years and was a member of Quail Lakes Baptist church. Lamar is survived by his wife, Lu, daughter Susan, son Kevin and daughter-in-law Jennifer; grandson Adam Rafalski and granddaughters Madeline and Georgia Mae Parrish.

Deborah Gene Hylander-Odle

December 18, 1947 - October 28, 2017  Deborah Gene Hylander-Odle, 69, of Russellville Arkansas, went home to her Lord and Savior Saturday, October 28, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Born December 18, 1947, in Stockton, CA. She was self employed as a Champion Canine Breeder & Groomer of Derica Dobermans for many years in California. Deborah proudly earned her GED recently at 69 years of age to show that one is never too old to make a significant educational achievement in life. She attended the Crusade Church of Russellville. She held a great love for God, her faith, her beloved family and animals. She was preceded in death by her father Elvin Eugene LaVrar & her step father James Mc Barron; and, her son, Vincent Ruben Flores. She is survived by her loving husband, Alan Odle of Russellville; son, Frankie Flores, Jr. (Alisha), of New Blaine; daughter, Erica Greer of Russellville; her mother, Lucille McBarron of Stockton, CA; four sisters: Deidre Cobarrubias (Gregory) of Acampo, CA; Daniece Cozad of Russellville; Mona Noreiga of Stockton, CA; and, Donna Ableman (Forrest) of Idaho; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.

Jagir Singh

Jagir Singh, 75, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 in his home in Stockton, California. He was born on August 30, 1942 to late parents Kartar Singh and Chanan Kaur in Manak Dheri, District Hoshiarpur in Punjab. He was the second of eight siblings and the eldest brother, thus taking on the responsibility of helping to raise his younger siblings at a young age.He is preceded in death by his son, Surinder Sahota. He is survived by his wife Kuldip Kaur, his sons Bhupinder Sahota [Narinder Sahota] and Inderjit Sahota [Gurwinder Sahota], and his grandchildren Navjot, Taranjot, Kuljit, Preet, Jaskaran, and Ishan Sahota. He is remembered fondly by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandpa. Jagir Singh worked for the Indian Army for 30 years. He retired in 1987 as a Captain. While working in the Army, he earned his Bachelor of Arts and also received a degree in Automobile Engineering. Following his military career, Singh worked for thirteen years as a General Manager at Pepsu Roadways. In 2001, he moved to California. Jagir Singh became a proud American citizen in 2006. Jagir Singh believed that work is worship, and he always said he would work until the day he dies. He followed this philosophy and worked for over 15 and half years as a dedicated cashier until his death- despite having retired years earlier. For those fortunate enough to have known Jagir Singh, he will forever be celebrated as a joyful, energetic, and selfless man.

Final prayers following the funeral will be held at Dashmesh Darbar Sikh Temple, 12098 West Lane Lodi, CA.

Victor Rolleri

Leon P. Wahler

Leon P. Wahler passed away on October 24, 2017 in Stockton at the age of 91. Leon was born August 11, 1926 in Freeport, IL. He served his country honorably in the Army Medical Corps on a hospital train during WWII. He attended Chico State, UOP, and the University of Texas. He sold Real Estate, was co-founder of Pacific Research and Development Co., was a general contractor and owned Delta Solar. He enjoyed the outdoors and family vacations to Canada.

Leon is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Bernice Wahler; son Karl Wahler; and daughter Kim Wahler.

He was preceded in death by his parents Philip L. and Margaret W. Wahler, and a brother Dale E. Wahler.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
