Marion Cox, loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great grand- mother passed away in Stockton on January 1 at the age of 86. She was born to Otto and Elizabeth Pigorsch in Hope, Kansas, and moved to California as a child. She married Richard Frush and raised her family in Stockton, and later doted on her grandchildren. Marion worked at St. Joseph's Hospital serving nutritious food to patients for 17 years. She was a dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church, an incredible cook, and a stylish dresser. In 1988, Marion (previously
widowed) married Lawrence "Larry" Cox. Larry called her "Little One" and treated her like a princess throughout almost 30 years of marriage. They traveled the world, volunteered with the Red Cross after natural disasters, camped across the US, cheered at their grandchildren's sporting events, took up golf, volunteered locally with San Joaquin County S.T.A.R.S. and with Friends of the Public Library, and hosted delicious parties. Marion lived a full and joyous life. Marion is preceded in death by her first husband Richard Frush and her sons Steven Frush and Tim Cox. She is survived by her beloved husband Larry Cox, her dog Brandy, son Gary Frush (Wendy) of Stockton, daughter Cathy Bates (Robert) of Orland, son Matt Cox (Nancy) of Markleeville, sons Mark Cox and Paul Cox of Brookings, Oregon; her grandchildren Ashley Kenny (Dave) of Seattle, Ben Frush (Laura) of Manteca, Jason Bates of Greenville, Nathan Bates of Chico, Marcus Cox and Jeffrey Cox of Sacramento, Justin Cox of Denver, Jennifer Cox of Germany, Jessica Cox of Phoenix, AZ; and her great-grandchildren Jace Cox of Sacramento, Felicity Cox and Calvin Wachowiak of Phoenix, AZ, and Megan and Peter Kenny of Seattle.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 1:30 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, located at 808 Porter Ave in Stockton. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)
in 1938. She did some fashion modeling at the Deb Shop in San Francisco and was in a beauty contest there. She also did some modeling for professional photography. When asked to make a test film by a Hollywood agent, she declined as she was engaged to the love of her life, Ralph Petersen. They were married on Mother's Day, May 12, 1940, and had a 50th Anniversary on Mother's Day 1990. Helen and Ralph had over 54 years together and loved every minute of it.

at the age of 84. The wife of the late Glenn W. Gray of Stockton, she is survived by her three children Laura Mueller (Bob) of Gardnerville, NV, Jenny Jones (Bob) of Stockton and Greg W. Gray of Stockton. Her three granddaughters, Megan and Morgan Gray, Brooke Jones, and great-grandson Louis also survive her.
Jean was the daughter of professional baseball player, the late Jake Daniel, a former Brooklyn Dodger (among other ball clubs) and Ruby Daniel of La Grange, Georgia. She enjoyed travel, journaling, gardening, baking and loved music. Jean taught Linden 4-H cooking classes and enjoyed dances with her husband at the Stockton Moose Lodge. She attended local Baptist churches as well as Dunson Baptist Church of La Grange, Georgia.
He was 85. He was born April 26, 1931 to Viola and Henry Willhite in Bokoshe, OK. The family moved to California and settled in Linden when he was 10 years old. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, and was a retriever mechanic serving 2 tours of duty during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return from military service to civilian life he met and fell in love with Maryanthia Vezaldenos. They wed soon after in June 1955 and remained happily married for the past 61 years. He worked his entire life in the farming and trucking industry. He started O.W. trucking and later O.W. Hay Service. He had a strong, tireless work ethic, with his mantra being: “Work first, there’s always time to play later”. When the work was done he loved to hunt and fish and in later years enjoyed golfing with his wife. More important than anything to him was spending time with his wife, family and life-long friends.He is survived by his loving wife Maryanthia; his daughter Victoria (Billy) Harris; daughter Judee Willhite, and son Ole (Janet) Willhite Jr. He will be missed as “Papa” to his grandchildren: Hilary (Michael) Seymour, Joey (Stefania) Willhite, Samantha (Troy) Swanson, Billy (Rachel) Harris, Jr. and Jason (Nikki) Harris. His great grandchildren: Mikayla, Mikenna and Mikenzie Seymour; Olivia and T.J. Swanson, and Riley and Joshua Harris will miss their beloved “Papa-O”. He is also survived by his sister Catherine Coldani; and brothers Earl, Ray, and John Willhite.
Dad knew his journey here was drawing to a close and specifically asked that we be sure to acknowledge his dedicated and caring Dr. Abbas Chothia, Dr. John Bouteller, his favorite nurse Donna Burke (RNP) and the entire staff of Stockton Cardiology. Also a special thank you to Dr. James Morrissey who dad attributes giving him 33 additional years of time with his family and was always revered as a family friend.
Forever in our hearts; rest in peace now Dad until we are together again.
