Rudolph Walker entered into heaven on Friday July 27, 2018 in French Camp, CA. He was born on July 1, 1931 in Elk City, Oklahoma to James H. Sr. and Ruby M. Walker.

Rudolph was a long time resident of Stockton, CA. He retired from the State of California as a Psychiatric Technician at the State Hospital. Early life he was a donut maker at the Troijan Bakery, Stockton, CA. before enlisting into the Army as a Chief Clerk in 1952 serving 2 years. As a Army Veteran of Korean Conflict he was awarded National Defense Service Medal in 1954. He was also a longstanding member of the New Beginnings in Christ Church, Stockton, CA.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary P. Walker. Children, Traci Paolinelli (Randy), Scott Walker, Maryann Gomez (Lawrence) all of Stockton, CA and Eric Walker (Lisa) of Susanville, CA. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren along with his siblings Rev James H. Walker Jr. of Escalon, CA and Peggy Y. Lok of Sparks, NV.

He is preceded in death by his parents James H. Walker Sr. and Ruby M. Walker, 12 brothers and sisters and great granddaughter Summer Rose.

 

Visitation

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 6th, 2018, from 10:00am to 8:00pm, located at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, located at 831 Industrial Way, Lodi CA, 95240.

Service

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, at 10:00am, and will take place at West Coast World Outreach Church, located at 4111 West Lane, Stockton CA, 95204.

Charlotte Goeringer

  August 6, 1945 - July 21, 2018

 

Charlotte Goeringer passed away in Stockton on July 21, 2018 at the age of 72. She was born in Reedley, CA to Dan and Marie Goeringer on August 6, 1945. Charlotte loved reading, gardening and was an avid collector of many things. She loved the beach and going on vacations to Pacific Grove and Monterey.  She retired from San Joaquin County after 39 years of service, most of that time she was an Eligibility Worker Unit Chief at Human Services Agency.  She is survived by her daughter: Natalie Keefover of Stockton; Grandsons: Justin and Zachary Keefover; Great Grandson: Joey Keefover. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Schmidt.

Inurnment will be private by family.

Loyd Lindsey

January 14, 1937 - July 21, 2018

Loyd Ray Lindsey of Galt California who was born January 14, 1937, passed away on July 21 2018 peacefully surrounded by his family.  Raised as a dairy farmer, Ray was a marine reservist, a BYU graduate, and a long-time eight grade math teacher with the Lincoln Unified School District.  He was a scoutmaster and explorer Post Advisor for many years and inspired the lives of many young men. In college he was mountain rescue and a surveyor.  His greatest joy was telling stories to his scouts, school kids, and family.  He was preceded in death by his parents Oden T. Lindsey and Stella Mae (Taunton) Lindsey, sisters Juanita Lorimer, Mary Lou Lehr , and Helen Thomas, and his wife of 56 years Dawnyse (Summerhays) Lindsey.  Ray has left us to join his wife, which bring his children great comfort at this difficult time.  He is survived by his four sons Rodney, Jeffery, John, and William, three daughter-in-laws, (who he always viewed as his own), fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Twin Cities Ward in Galt.

VIEWING

There will be a viewing preceding the funeral at the Galt Chapel beginning at 9:00am.

SERVICE

Open funeral services will be held at the Twin Cities building at 10:00 Saturday July 28th.  The Church is at 972 Vintage Oak Avenue, Galt. Galt Chapel, beginning at 9 AM.  The committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park and a reception at the LDS church in Galt.

Ethel Nietschke

Ethel Pearl Nietschke, 90,  passed away peacefully in her hometown, Lodi, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 21, 2018.  She was born in Lodi, CA on April 15, 1928 to Albert and Bertha Nies.

In 1948, Ethel became the Lodi Grape Festival Queen celebrating the 100th anniversary of the California Gold Rush.  She was a homemaker, taking care of a ranch outside Lodi for over 50 years.  She took up oil painting in her later years and was commissioned by many to do specialty subject paintings.

Ethel is survived by two daughters, Gayle Stroble and Debra Charlberg, three grandchildren Nickolas Bryant, Ashley Upshaw and Andrew Upshaw, also survived by seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband Paul Nietschke, parents Albert and Bertha Nies, son Kenneth Nietschke, and grandchild Kari Lynn.

Memorial contributions can be made to Dementia Society of America.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 am on Friday, July 27th, 2018 at the Chapel of Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, in Lodi.

August 5, 1934 - July 15, 2018 T.J."Ted" Colvin

Born August 5, 1934 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, passed away on July 15, 2018 in Lodi, CA. He came to Sisquoc, CA at the age of 1, moved to Modesto, CA at 5 and to Stockton at 19. He worked as a door to door milkman for Cloverleaf/Crystal for 18 years. He worked for Yolland Materials/Pacific Flooring supply as a wholesale salesman for 33 years. He moved to Ft. Bragg, CA, upon his retirement in 2004. He moved to Lodi in 2015 to be closer to family. T.J. loved hunting, fishing and softball and all of his family. He coached and umpired for many years at Western Little League in Stockton. Survived by sons Steven Colvin of Lodi, Jeff Colvin (Phyllis) of Lodi. 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grand children as well as 2 step daugh- ters, 5 step grandchildren and 8 step great-grandchildren, Also survived by Ex-wife Jan Neri. Preceded in death by Father Drexel Colvin Sr., Mother Rosetta Colvin, Brothers Drexel Colvin Jr., Floyd Colvin, Daughter Susan Colvin, Stepson David Keller, Ex-Wife Susanne Felton.

SERVICE

There will be a memorial service on his birthday Sunday August 5, 2018 at 11:00am at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park.  at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240. Interment will be private. The family would like to thank Brad, Pam and all his caregivers at Ashley Place assisted living in Lodi for his wonderful, loving care in his last months.

Genola Jeffrey, 85, of Stockton, passed away July 13, 2018. Born June 28, 1933 in Belzoni, Mississippi to Aster Reed and Maggie Tanner.  Genola worked for 25 years as a clerk for the San Joaquin County Superior Court. She will be remembered by many as a humble, kind person who loved people. Genola made anyone feel instantly comfortable with her peaceful aura, so much that many people called her Mom. A Christian woman, she loved her family, her church, and her community.

Genola leaves behind her children, Clifford Guidry, Jr (Wilafred), Early Guidry, Sr (Tina), and Renee Johnson, and her grandchildren, Earl Guidry, Jr, Crystal Guidry, Darius Guidry, Tiffany Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Dahlisha Guidry, Clarissa Guidry, and 2 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister, Mildred Dread and brother, Special Reed. Preceding Genola in passing are her parents, husband Horace Jeffrey, children, Clarence Guidry and Charles Johnson, Jr, and siblings, Grant Reed and Odester McKinley.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 2-8pm at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd in Lodi, California.
