Jeanne Elaine Paoletti

January 09, 1931 - March 14, 2022

Jeanne Elaine Paoletti, nee Bushman, of Lodi passed away on March 14, 2022 in Lodi, California.

Jeanne was born on January 9, 1932 in Lodi, California to Benjamin and Cecile Bushman.

Jeanne worked as a Western Union teletype operator, as a bookkeeper in an accounting office and at Avenue Drugs until she started her own bookkeeping service working out of her home in 1974.  She is survived by her son, Frank Joseph Paoletti and nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Paoletti: brother Doyle Bushman and sister Eileen Rabusin.

VISITATION

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way Lodi, CA.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE

Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Cherokee Memorial Park, HWY 99 and Harney Ln, Lodi, CA.

Thomas Laverone

April 08, 1944 - March 11, 2022

Thomas Michael Laverone, 77, of Stockton, passed away on March 11, 2022 with his family by his side. He will truly be missed by his family and friends. Tom was always the life of the party anywhere he went. Tom was born April 8, 1944. He graduated from St Mary's High School in 1962. He served in the National Guard and was an officer of the Stockton Police Department. Tom married Lynette Nogare in 1974 and became a lifelong farmer in the Linden area.

He is survived by his spouse Lynette Laverone of Stockton, son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Barbara Laverone of Ione, grandchildren: Dominic, Kevin, Katelyn and Emma, and brothers: Stephen (Pam) Laverone of Lodi and John (Jeanne) Laverone of Monterey.

He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Rita Laverone along with in-laws Sil and Geraldine Nogare.

Please contribute any memorial contributions to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at the Linden Lions Club on April 29, at 11am.

Adam Jackson

September 21, 1976 - March 10, 2022

Adam Christopher Jackson, 45 went to be with his Lord on Thursday March 10th 2022 in his home in Stockton. A fifth generation Californian, he was born on September 21, 1976 in Stockton. He grew to be a gifted musician, both as a remarkable pianist and especially as a vocalist earning much recognition and
numerous high honors for his abilities beginning in his church’s children’s choir and continuing throughout his life. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1994 in Stockton and attended San Joaquin Delta College and California State University Sacramento. He was able to travel the world
singing with the Lincoln High School and Sacramento State University Choirs, developing a love of travel that would last the rest of his life. He was nominated two years in a row to “Who’s Who Among American High School Students”. Two of his highest achievements were winning a coveted “Willy” award from Stockton Civic Theater for musical direction and conducting; possibly the youngest to ever win it at age 20 in 1997. He was also a semi-finalist for American Idol in 2005.

He was involved in Christian music ministry directing choirs at several local churches in his early 20s. Loving gems and minerals from an early age he eventually became a certified “diamontologist” and worked at several local jewelers.

Loving son, brother, uncle and grandson he is survived by his grandmother, Marie Schacht; parents, Stephen and Deborah Jackson; sister, Rebecca Hardison (Bruce) and nieces, Meagan and Morgan Hardison. He will be remembered by those who loved him most for his gentle spirit, thoughtfulness and remarkable musical talent.

Family and friends are invited to attend a “Celebration of Life” on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 1:00 P.M., Vineyard Chapel, Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 North Beckman Road, Harney Lane at Highway 99, Lodi, CA, 95240. Graveside service will be private.

Terry Turner

March 19, 1943 - March 08, 2022

Terry “Tag” Turner passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2022, at the age of 78.

Terry is survived by his wife, Rebecca Robertson; his children, Tracy (Mike) Baldwin, Steve (Jacqy) Turner and Tim (Corrine) Turner, his step-children; Wendy (Jim) Pereza, Kim Lambert and Jeanette Lambert, his siblings Donna (Huston) Maxey, Pete (LaVona) Turner and Gary (Linda) Turner. Also surviving him are his grandchildren- Leandra Standart, Tylyn Turner, Kayla Parra, Robbie and Jeffrey Wise, Jennica and Elizabeth Baldwin, Josie and Mackenzie Turner, Emma Broderick and Colton Anderson as well as many special nephews, nieces and cousins.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Tompson and Mary Louise Turner.

Terry was born on March 19, 1943, in Stockton attending Elmwood School, Fremont Jr High and Franklin High School. He graduated from Delta College, worked for Union Oil Co and then went on to work for many years as a Plant Manager at Diamond Walnut and Berberian Nut. He raised his family in Manteca and that is where home was for the past 49 years. Growing up, he loved playing baseball and held the title of “first homerun of the season” for several of the leagues he participated in. He enjoyed camping, deer hunting and fishing with his brothers and cousins. He loved playing tennis and was a founding member of the Manteca Tennis Club. He also enjoyed golfing and cherished the trip that he made to the Masters Golf tournament in Augusta, GA. Tag loved spending time with family- whether it be at the annual “DuBois Family Reunion” or the annual “Okie Fest” in Fort Bragg. Family meant everything to him.

Marjorie Benton

November 28, 1930 - March 08, 2022

Marjorie Marie Benton (Quinton) was born November 28th, 1930 in Clarinda, Iowa. She was a strong, patient and joyful woman, who lit up the room with her smile and laugh. She sang in the choir at First Baptist Church in Stockton, and was known for the beautiful afghans she made for all of those around her.

She passed away March 8th, 2022. She is survived by her 3 grandchildren: Sarah Officer, Audra Benton, and Guy McElhany IV. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Benton Sr. and her 2 children, Alfred Benton Jr, and Vicki Benton.

Services will be at Cherokee Memorial in Lodi at the Evergreen Chapel on Thursday March 17th, at 1pm. Viewing is at noon.

Francisca R. Gomez

Francisca R Gómez was born March 21, 1929 in San Bernandino County, CA and passed away at her home in Stockton, CA surrounded by family on March 2, 2022, just weeks shy of her 93rd birthday. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband and hunny Antonio Lopez Gomez. 

 

She will be remembered by her 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Her dedication to her family and loved ones will always be cherished by those who knew her, and her generosity never forgotten. Her kindness was always shown through her warm smile and warm plates of food, especially her tacos and tamales, a staple of her kitchen and home. 

 

To our mom, grandma, granny and beloved Francisca, you will forever be cherished and missed. Until we meet again.. with love and remeberance, your family. 

Robin David Richards

Robin David Richards went to be with his Savior on February 15, 2022, following a bravely fought battle with ALS. Born July 19, 1944, he was 77 years old.

Robin joined the army out of high school during the Vietnam war. He was assigned to Alaska and finally to the Southwest where he felt the climate was more conducive to his good health - a major factor in his having a home built in Pahrump, Nevada where he lived nearly 20 years.

Following his military service, Robin was employed for 20 years as a special delivery postal worker. He earned several awards for safely driving the postal vehicle used on his job.

In his forties, Robin took up running races and marathons for which he won numerous ribbons and trophies.

Robin’s wife, Sandy, and his parents, Vernon and Irene Robinson Richards, as well as his sibling, all preceded him his death. He leaves behind six nieces (Neva, Linda, Deanna, Janella, Chelese and Judy), two nephews (Craig and Mike), and cousins (Emma, Nell, Janet, Carol, Joy, Bill, Helen, Melvin, Phil [Butch], Danell, Carolyn, Judy, Marjorie, Nancy, and Rosalie). Robin was especially grateful, to his niece, Neva, her husband, Sean, and great nephew, Dylan, for the loving care they gave him at their Ripon , California home during his months of declining health. Robin was a beloved son, uncle, and cousin.
