Carol Steenblock

April 1, 1939 - December 4, 2023

Edna “Carol” Steenblock passed away in Lodi, on December 4, 2023 at the age of 84. Carol was born to Walter and Ella Williams on April 1, 1939. She was a life long resident of Lodi.

Carol attended Lodi High School, where she became active in the sewing club, and was a member of The Junior Women’s Club. She was active for several years in the Wood-Lo Order of Rainbow for Girls, eventually holding the office of Worthy Advisor. Carol became an expert seamstress; sewing much of her own wardrobe at an early age, and continuing throughout her life for her children and others. She worked for San Joaquin County for 20 years. After retirement Carol and Gene, her husband of 33 years, traveled extensively enjoying camping, fishing and many cruises.

She is survived by her daughters Vicki Gotelli and husband Patrick, Leslie Hane and husband Dean, step son Ron Steenblock and wife Anne; grandchildren Samuel Gotelli and wife Lauren, Adam Gotelli and wife Cindy, step-grandchildren Wesley Steenblock and Alisa Van Foeken, and also her sister in law Stella Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Gene Steenblock; her parents Walter and Ella Williams, and her brothers Walter and Charles Williams, and step-son Roger Steenblock.

SERVICE
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 Beckman Rd, Lodi, with a gathering to follow at the Cherokee Reception Room.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Friends Connection Humane Society of Lodi, 933 S Cherokee Ln, Lodi, CA 95240.

John Toomey

John D. Toomey
October 30, 1963 - December 2, 2023

John passed away December 2nd, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother Mendy Toomey, and survived by his father Ronald. John served 6 years in the Navy as an electronic tech, on the U.S.S. Mobile. After an honorable discharge, he worked at Lockhead. He retired after 25 years at the US Postal Service in Lodi, CA.

John will be missed by all.

Manuel Hernadez

November 15, 1954 - November 30, 2023

Manuel Hernández. 69 years young at time of death. He died November 30, 2023 in Stockton, California surrounded by family at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

He was born November 15, 1954 in Yahualica, Jalisco the son of Margarita Hernández and grandson of Miguel Hernández and Catalina Muños. Manuel grew up with five sisters (Maria, Joventina, Luz, Josefina and Catalina) and one brother (Juan).

He worked almost two decades at Tri-Valley Growers and a little over two decades at Heinz as an industrial mechanic. Manuel retired in 2019.

Manuel is survived by his four children Manuel, Gabriela, Elsa and Ana; Seven grandchildren Nicholas, Jacob, Lenel, Jack, Gavin, Fox and Elvira; One great-grandchild Eros.

As a young adult he migrated from Mexico to United States. Throughout his life his main focus was working hard to provide for his love ones. He has survived several life changing endeavors through his journey. As a homeowner he adored working on projects around the house. Gardening was a hobby he enjoyed doing during his retirement.

A beloved Dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and sibling. His family, friends and community will miss him.

A service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, December 29th, 2023 at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240. A reception will follow at the J. Charles Irwin Reception Center, located at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.
