Edward (Ed) Roy Schneitman, 87, died peacefully of old age on December 13, 2024, in Stockton, CA. He considered Hayward, CA, his home for over 50 years.

He was born on June 14, 1937, to Roy Joseph and Lillian Orinda (Rowley) Schneitman in Oakland, CA.  His family moved to Healdsburg, CA in 1945, where they owned and worked a prune orchard. He married Gabina Susana (Susie) Wong Martinez on October 24, 1965. They were married for 59 years and had 2 children, Orinda Maria (McIntire) and Joseph (Joe) Edward Schneitman.

Ed worked as a crateyard superintendent for Safeway (near Richmond starting in 1960), opened a Jack-in-the-Box in Santa Clara (1968), then worked in various warehouse receiver/manager roles in the Hayward area, ultimately retiring from JCPenney. He earned AA degrees from Chabot College relevant to warehouse management.

Ed is survived by his wife, Susie, his children Orinda and Joe, his grandchildren, Tessa Susana McIntire, Perry Edward McIntire (wife Maria) and Zoey Gabriela Schneitman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lillian, his sister Barbara Jean Eyeler, and his grandson, Joseph (Joey) Preston Schneitman.
