Monica Bowles-Lewis

January 20, 1948 - November 22, 2024

Monica Bowles-Lewis, a cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, in Union, Kentucky, at the age of 76. Born on January 20, 1948, to Ted and Monica Vallero in Angels Camp, California, Monica moved with her family to Lodi, California, in 1958, where she spent much of her life.

Monica was a devoted mother to her daughters, Elissa and Karen, raising them with love and instilling values of independence and compassion. Her interests included cooking, sewing, gardening, and watching football. An avid animal lover, Monica cherished time spent with family and friends.

Her career in the construction industry spanned over two decades, during which she formed lasting friendships and created cherished memories. Above all, Monica treasured her role as "Nana" to her four grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Jordyn, and Allie, who adored her deeply.

Monica is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Bob and Marsha Harter of Lodi, California, and TJ and Liz Vallero of Ripon, California. She leaves behind her daughters and their spouses, Elissa and Marsten Tullius of Union, Kentucky, and Jeff and Karen Pyle of Woodbridge, California. In addition to her grandchildren, Monica is survived by four nieces, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.

Monica was the heart of her family and will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of her life will be held in January at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home in Lodi, California.
